My Journey Log: Ideal to real problems, from BMS to the digital marketing.

April 14, 2023 07:00 Sukrit Sunama My Journey Log

When I first thought about the problems entrepreneurs face, I considered employees, accounting, finance, purchasing, and mindset. However, I soon realized that what entrepreneurs really want when they ask for a web or app is customers!

Why do we want customers? Well, that's an easy question! Every entrepreneur starts a business not just for wealth, but to help people. And those people are customers. No customers, no business! People come to me for help building a web or app because they believe it can bring customers to them. But I can't lie to them - a web or app alone won't bring in more customers. Let me explain why.

When we visit large or famous websites like Amazon, Facebook, Google, or Lazada, we wonder if we can build a web or app and gain more customers too. But we need to understand that those websites are like large shopping malls with many branches around the world. They have a lot of funding and employees to make their online businesses work. For example, Meta (the company behind Facebook) had 86,000 employees in 2022 (source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/273563/number-of-facebook-employees/), and Amazon had a market capitalization of $1.023 trillion in April 2023 (source: https://companiesmarketcap.com/amazon/marketcap/). It's no surprise that they make a lot of sales every day and people keep visiting their websites.

Now, back to our web/app - how much do you plan to invest? If you're not sure whether you should build your own website, check out this article: "Why Use SaaS Instead of Building Your Own Software?". So, what's the reason behind why you want a web or app?

I've found that the main reason is always customers! But many entrepreneurs can't explain why or how. Trust me, you're on the right track - but there's a catch. What you really need is digital marketing. If you're not sure where to start, check out "Digital Marketing 101: Chapter 1 - Funnel". That's the real pain point for entrepreneurs who come to me!

The heart of digital marketing will always be a website. A website can manage customer information between online and offline perfectly. You can make online sales that connect directly with the offline experience.

So, my mission is not just to help entrepreneurs operate their businesses, but also to cover the marketing side. And that makes me excited about it!
